Laser Hair Removal in Austin

Safe and Effective Treatment for ALL Skin Tones.

“Laser Hair Removal is life-changing.”

This is a statement that our founder, Trisha has said over and over again to clients during her 16+ years of performing this service. While the statement admittedly sounds a bit grandiose, it doesn’t make it any less true. Whether you’re experiencing unwanted hair growth that you feel self-conscious about, have sensitive skin that reacts to shaving, waxing or depilatory creams, or just want to simplify your daily routine- laser hair removal will change your life.

At Bene we offer laser hair removal treatments that are safe and effective for all skin types and tones. We utilize two different lasers from Candela- the GentleLase and GentleYAG to make sure we are able to safely treat any client that comes through our door.

What areas are ideal for Laser Hair Removal?

Know before you go:

In order to set you up for success before your laser hair removal appointment here are some important things to note before and after your treatment!

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:

  • No tweezing, plucking, waxing, sugaring, epilating or use of depilatory creams for FOUR weeks prior to your appointment. The ONLY exception we will make to this rule is for laser hair removal on the face. We will accept two weeks discontinuing these methods with the knowledge and acceptance that we might be missing some hairs on the first session that are not on the same growth cycle yet.

  • You must shave or trim the area being treated within 24 hours of your appointment. You must shave before each and every appointment! The only exception to this rule is if you are towards the end of your treatments and you have been instructed by your technician to not shave so they can see what hair is remaining.

  • NO SUN EXPOSURE for TWO WEEKS PRIOR to your appointment. If you have a vacation planned where you will be getting sun exposure on areas you are treating, please plan your appointments accordingly.

  • No spray tan before your appointment.

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT:

  • The area treated may be red, swollen and sensitized immediately following the treatment. This can last from just a couple of hours up to a few days depending on the client. General sensitivity, hair density and hair thickness are all factors that contribute these symptoms. We sell a great after-care product, EltaMD Laser Enzyme Gel that helps reduce inflammation and eases itchiness or discomfort from your treatments.

  • Avoid excessive heat for 48-72 hours after your laser hair removal appointment. Including, but not limited to: vigorous exercise, hot yoga, saunas, hot tubs, warm baths, sunbathing, tanning beds, etc.

  • Avoid UV exposure for 48-72 hours after your laser hair removal appointment.

  • It takes 10-14 days for your hair to shed from the follicle. You may see new growth during that timeframe. This does not mean that the laser treatment was inaffective. You may continue to shave if necessary.
